Zen is a highly qualified pharmacist with extensive experience in a range of pharmaceutical fields. She graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Pharmacy and holds a Master of Actuarial Studies in Practice from Macquarie University. Zen has always been deeply committed to her local community and has dedicated her entire career to serving the people of Parramatta. Her distinguished career includes 20 years of community pharmacy experience and 10 years in a compounding pharmacy setting.
One of Zen’s primary passions is educating patients and providing personalised patient care. She has a keen interest in nutraceutical compounding – creating personalised nutritional supplement solutions that meet the unique physiological and lifestyle needs of a patient. The philosophy behind nutraceuticals emphasises prevention, inspired by the ancient Greek physician Hippocrates who famously said, “let food be your medicine.” In 2018, Zen chose to become a pharmacy owner as it would give her the creative and administrative control to execute her ambitious ideas and passions. She also serves on the advisory board of Global Medical Foundation Australia (GMFA), a charity that provides medical care to underprivileged countries. Despite her numerous responsibilities as a business owner, Zen approach to healthcare remains hands-on and personal, and she travels annually with the GMFA team to provide charitable medical care in these communities.
Zen’s passion for patient education is the driving force behind her involvement in creating Orwell Health. Prevention is key, and she hopes that the Orwell will help patients identify and screen for potential health risks before they become more serious conditions. Zen has a collaborative spirit and is excited about working with other healthcare professionals who share her holistic approach to patient care. Her ultimate goal is to help patients restore balance in their mind, body and soul, promoting heathier life and overall wellbeing.
